September Rewind

As September draws to a close today I figured that I would post an update of my fall so far.

The weekend we spent in Gettysburg was a lot of fun. It was great to reconnect with some friends I had not seen in several years.

Teaching full time is going well, the schedule was a little hard to get used to at first, but I finally feel like I'm hitting a rhythm. Considering my work day does not start until mid afternoon I do not want to waste the morning hours and figuring out that schedule was hard. Its so easy to try and justify sitting on my couch and knitting. However, that is my reward for going to the gym, working on my article, and practicing. I have been very productive this week. My article is starting to take shape as I work on getting copyright clearances and release forms from parents. This is a wonderful opportunity for me and I want to do the best job possible. Teaching is going well, I have some challenges, but what job doesn't. I also have some wonderful, talented, dedicated students that I look forward to working with each week. Practicing is going well and I hope to continue to grow as a musician.

My knitting is going well, as usual. I've learned the art of multi-tasking with projects and typically have three things going at once. I'm really looking forward to going to Rhinebeck for the first time. I have a couple projects that I plan to look for yarn for, which is quite exciting for me. We will also get to spend time with some of our friends from college.

Things should slow down for me in November, but until then I'm going to enjoy all of these things I have planned in the coming weeks.
